for granted. In fact, you probably burn the most calories when you’re not consciously trying

1. Get busy in the kitchen. Would you believe that spending time in the kitchen could

actually help you achieve your fitness goals? Of course, if the time in your culinary

quarters involves tasting everything you’re preparing, you might not exactly get the full

benefit! Rearrange the pantry, slice some veggies, and wash the dishes to burn those

extra calories.

2. Groom the garden. Gardening is a wonderful way to help you stay fit at home. You

can prune the roses, water the shrubs, or pull out the mower if you’re up to it. You’ll

3. Have a garage sale. In all likelihood, you probably have tons of stuff that you don’t

need. So why not dig them up, have a garage sale and burn some calories all at once?

5. Make your home spotless. Cleaning is an age-old technique for getting in shape at

home. Turn those tedious tasks into fun, fitness-building activities: turn the

radio up and dance while sweeping or mopping.
